“Heavy build” means man boobs… right?
On Wednesday (Jan. 10) police in Hokkaido arrested a man who allegedly disguised himself as a woman and entered a woman’s public bathhouse in Sapporo.
According to information released by both police and the facility where the incident took place, the suspect, a 50-year-old part time worker, entered the Sapporo bathhouse at around 9 p.m. on January 10 while wearing make up and donning a bob-shaped cut wig. Once inside, the man, who measured 180 cm (5’9″) in height and was of heavy build, soaked in the women’s bath for about 50-minutes.
Other patrons of the bathhouse found the innordinate amount of care the suspect was taking to cover the bottom half of his body unnatural and so reported him to staff. Police were called soon after.
Upon being confronted by bathhouse staff and police, the man denied accusations that he was a man, reportedly saying in a falsetto voice numerous times “I am a woman.”
Police arrested the man for trespassing. He has since admitted to the allegations and was quoted by police as saying, “I did it because the men’s bath is dirty so I feel more at ease in the women’s bath.”
